Cash Turns 5!!!

I CAN NOT believe it has been 5 years since I became a mommy!  Except the fact that I now have 3 little ones and 2 are needing me as I type so I don't have time to sit and write how much I love about Cash and all his accomplishments etc etc and instead am just trying to upload the photos and get this post up so family can see his cake and birthday!  We had a great day celebrating on Saturday, and then on his real birthday on Sunday as well!  He requesed a tennis cake this year, and a roast with rolls for dinner!  (after telling us he wanted pizza which we ordered on Saturday since that was his first choice!)

He really is such a joy tho.  He is so sweet, sensitive, very aware of others, makes friends with EVERYONE, super smart, and we love him in our family!  Ivy loves to scream "CAAAAAA CAAAA CAAAASH!" and then run give him hugs or point at him as he does something.  And Griff tries to copy everything he does.  Good thing he is such a good example.  I love you my Cash man with all my heart!

The beginning!

 Progress!!!

 Grass is on!

5 years old,

 Tennis balls added!

Ready for some presents! He figured out he should open 2 in the morning and then the rest after church!  Love that he thought it all out as to when he could open each one!  Such a cutie!

Legos!  He and dad put this together before dinner with his friend!

 Checking out his cake!

 All ready!

His cute friend Crew came over for dinner and cake!

Those hands were ready to dig in!

Love my cute 5 year old!  He told me he wasn't as tall yet as he will be even though he is 5, but in a few days he will be as tall as a 5 year old! (he is actually pretty tall I think for his age!)

 Blow!!!

Crew got him a toy from Planes the movie, which he saw on Saturday as part of his b-day bash, and he exclaimed, "oh thanks! This is just what I wanted!"  Such good buddies!  And of course G wanting to get in on the action, after just having his diaper changed and wearing no pants!  That's how we roll;)

Sure love our Cash man!!!

Costco Adventures!!!

Taking 3 kiddos to the store is sometimes a very exhausting and crazy adventure - however, it is also usually, most of the times --- a fun adventure and I actually don't mind it for the most part.  Would I like to have a half hour to just peruse the aisles of target and stop to look at something without someone tugging on my clothes, whining about grabbing something, or telling me we need to go see the toys?! sure!  But also I would miss the laughter and seeing things differently - seeing the shelves from a lower eye level, seeing the newest nerf gun or other toy my kids are interested in, etc etc!
And today my kiddos were so much fun!  We went to Costco, which is easier as they can ALL fit into the cart and be contained....and they were good and kind to one another and funny and made my trip much more enjoyable then it would have otherwise been!

And the best part came at the end when we picked up their lunch - 2 hot dogs for the younger ones and a pizza slice for Cash!  The hot dogs come with drinks and as that's perfect since Cash and Griffin like different drinks! Cash always gets sprite, and Griffin gets lemonade! Perfect, and we set off!
Problem!  Now Ivy is big enough to think she wants a drink!
And she is a WHINER! And will yelp and scream til she gets it!
Lucky for her she has great brothers who were willing to share!

Griffin shared his lemonade first upon my request!

Then Cash saw and got in on the action and let her taste his sprite!

Then I looked over and they were both trying to offer her their drink at the same time!
What a lucky girl to have 2 nice older brothers to dote on her!

And what a lucky mommy to have 3 great kids who I can take all over and who, for the most part, behave and are fun to go places with!
Love my job!

Best Buddies!

Just playing around with and trying out some settings on my camera before the real shoot at the beach tonight!  Wanted to see what would work and not!  These two were so cute and I am so glad that when they aren't fighting they are actually best buddies!  Here they seem so happy and huggy......right before this Griffin had tore one of Cash's 4 bandaids from his shots off - NOT a happy moment!  But yes, they do love each other!

Surf Competition With Sammy and Mooner!!!

We adventured down to the US Open Surf competition in Huntington Beach this past week!
It was pretty cool, VERY crowded, nicely warm, Very tiring, and a VERY fun experience!
The car ride down Cash found to be long, but entertained himself with Sammy as Griff and Ivy caught a few zzzzz's...

Ivy was ready to see the surfers and easily spotted in her cute yellow swimmies!

Cash was practicing his surf moves on the sand saying he wanted to be in the competition too!

Right after he biffed it doing a spin move!

Sam was asked to be on TV in a game of Truth & Dare in which he had to select Dare and then they dared him to lick Cash's sandy foot in order to win a Van's hat.  I wanted the hat so he was nice and obliged!  It was awesome because afterward people were asking me who he was and about the interview.  I wanted to say he was a pro surfer and live it up but nicely just told everyone the actual truth!  It was funny!

Griffin rode back to the car on Cash's shoulders, and then Cash was out once we started driving home....it was a tiring adventure!

Sam and Mooner took the boys to Turbo yesterday at the movie theatres so I could rest since I wasn't feeling so well!  It was great for all of us!  The boys LOVE their uncles!

Chip took a half day and came to the beach with us yesterday to get in some body surfing with Sam and Alex and some good ole quality family time!  I LOVE when he comes with us.  The boys say it is Oceans more fun!!!

Look at the seagull picking something out of mooners hair here -- pretty crazy right;)

Ivy just loves the beach now but tries to stop the water from getting to her by holding up her hands and waving them saying no, no, no....it is pretty funny to me!

Griff got knocked down by a few waves here as they were huge yesterday, but bounced back and was laughing and wanting to get in more....he is starting to be more brave.

Cash spent a lot of time jumping waves and also collecting rocks for me to put in my house - loved it!

Daddy and Ivy hanging out at the waters edge!

This little lady was tired and yet a good sport - here she is playing like she is asleep! It always makes me laugh when she does this!

We stopped for some BBQ afterwards and the kids were good sports waiting in the car!

A pic of the awesome Van's hat Sam won for me!  Love it!

Sam and Mooner took the bikes down one night for a sunset ride --- they learned it really is very hilly here coming back;)

Since Sam arrived him and Alex have been in the boys beds and the boys have been sleeping on blankets on our floor in Chip's and my bedroom.  We came in the other night to find this.....where is little Griffy's head you might say?!  He tucks himself ALL the way under his blankets, head and all and I find it funny and scary all at the same time.

The boys went one afternoon earlier this week to the beach with Alex and Sam.....So much fun!

We love uncle Sam and so glad him and Mooner came to visit.  Wish he could stay longer....alas all good things come to an end right?!
