August 4, 2014: Peace out Utah, and Hello Arizona!!!

We headed out for AZ bright and early so we could make it to Vegas to meet up with friends for a swim date - which ended up being cancelled due to weather and then the kids decided they didn't want to stop in Vegas and do the aquarium at the hotel so we just kept on driving and actually they fell asleep so we didn't even stop once til we got to within 1.5 hours of our destination - i have AMAZING little travellers - we were SOOOO excited to finally get there tho - altho the heat shocked us pretty bad.  It was SO hot!

Leaving this beautiful state!

This little girl was so good on the trip that when she threw a temper tantrum, as in screaming and throwing her hands up and the whole thing at Costco once we were there I actually just gave in - she LOVES her dress up stuff and is so cute playing in it!

The next day Becky and I went to the Gilbert temple for a session while Uncle Jayton babysat all the kids - what a trooper --- I hadn't been in before and it really is BEAUTIFUL! One of my top 3 favorite temples I think - the inside is incredible!  So happy to get to go and it is literally across the street from my SIL house! Lucky her!

We got to play with old friends from CA and Cash and Owen were way excited to reunite and it was like no time had passed - they are best buddies and we miss them in CA!

Mary was so sweet to Ivy and let her dress up in all her fun dress ups!

Ivy LOVES LOVES LOVES Lyla her cousin and couldn't get enough of her!

Becky and I took on a project of making blankets for our kids and they were a lot more work then we planned but turned out great - here is Ivy's!

More pics of the Freebairns and my kiddos!

 Winter and I!

We visited my grandparents and Griff had fun playing with Grandpa Roman's exercise toys!

After not seeing the kiddos for more than a month, Chip decided he better fly in for the weekend to hang with us so they would remember they had a dad! (and to see his family too!)  The time went way too fast tho!  The kids were SOOOOO excited and didn't want to leave his side.  We went boating on Saturday and it was awesome weather and the perfect day!  Chip even jumped from the tall cliff!

Cash wanted to do the tube and be out on the water the whole time and was great - Griff was terrified and only lasted a few minutes on the tube but still had fun!  Ivy had a blast riding in the boat!

Family photos 2014 - jk but we haven't had one with all of us in awhile!

 Love these crazies!

Grandpa Charlie with them all!

 The boys' blankets!

On Monday of week 2 we had a Bear family FHE with all the cousins and aunts and uncles at Grandma and Grandpa Bear's pool - it was so fun and a beautiful night!

The highlight of the trip for my kiddos was Beth and Jordan's new pool - they couldn't get enough of it - and Cash really became a little fish here, Griff got comfortable wearing a life jacket and jumping off the diving board, and Ivy had a blast just playing anywhere - it is a gorgeous pool and the night swims are the best!  Loved spending time with our cousins here!

The Gilbert temple outside view from Beth house!

Hanging out in the day time with the slide and fun rock ledge in the back!  We could swim all day here!

While we were here Ivy developed an even worse rash EVERYWHERE then she had in Utah - this pic doesn't do it justice but it was awful.  I finally took her to a Dr. who then diagnosed her with 5ths disease and told me it looked bad but she wasn't contagious and that she would be fine in a few days - that it is great cuz it will just clear up, but an eye sore.  So he told me to stop putting the eczema stuff on her and just let it heal.  Well, it continued to get worse and worse and worse and when we went home to Cali on Saturday I immediately booked her a Monday morning appointment where the Dr. told me she didn't have 5th's disease, but rather her eczema had just spread and was out of control bad.  They put her on an oral antibiotic to clear the skin and also a prescription cream to use once a day and then as it gets better only every other day on the red patches to help it go away and then we have to put eucerin lotion on 3 times a day over her whole body - the cream lotion one that is thick and will help her body get moisture back in those places.  Within two days 80% of the rash had disappeared over the rest of her and we have just been getting the bad patches under control since but it is soooooooo much better.  The dry Utah climate, and even drier AZ climate mixed with chlorine and swimming every day just made the problem so much worse.  My poor little Ivy girl!

Saturday, August 16 we said goodbye to Grandma Betty's house and headed back to our new home in Cali to see our daddy!  It was a long 6.5 hour + drive that the kids did great in but we just wanted to be home and traffic was a beast!  We had a great 2 weeks here and love our Brown family too!

Traveling adventures of the Browns for the Summer :)

Maggie gets exzema real bad in Utah too just like that, it's so sad, we aren't meant to live in Utah! Also I have a love hate with those Costco costumes, I love how much they play in them but I HATE those stinkin gloves
