BYU Game/Utah Trip with Cashman!!!

This past weekend Cashman and I had a great little getaway to Utah for the BYU game and visit to Grammy and Papa.  In the short amount of time we were there we packed in a ton and it was so much fun!!!!  We love being there and Cash already asked when we can "do this again?!"
It has been awhile (as in 4 years) since I have flown with just him, and it was so fun and relaxing - I looked forward to it all day instead of dreading the flight like I do when traveling with all 3 solo!

Here we are in the airport waiting for our flight!

 And we are off!

We made it - and SOOO excited waiting for Sam to pick us up!

Our favorite "uncle Sammy"!

We got in and stopped by the outlets on the way home quick with Sam and then got home late - just in time for a snack with Papa and then off to bed.  Busy day on Saturday!

We woke up and went for a hike with Grammy and Papa up in the mountains to see the beautiful leaves.  We love the fall and beauty of Utah and crisp cool air!

Stopped by a stream for some cute pics of this guy!

 Found a stump!

 Love these people!

We had Papa and Cash drop us off on the way home and Grammy and I ran home down the canyon - a fun and quick run!

Then we hurried and got ready and went to a baptism for a friend we made over the summer - Joey Larsen.  It was one of the best baptisms I have ever attended.  He sang his testimony, his siblings gave great talks, and it was just the sweetest thing - Yes cash is a lot taller then him altho 2 years younger - but they are just the cutest together and we were so happy to make it for the special day!

Then we went home and quickly changed into our BYU gear and headed out for a VERY HOT game!  We managed to find seats in the shade the whole time and it was a great game, with BYU beating VA 41-33 so made the game so fun! Cash was so excited and we had a blast together.  We had planned on meeting up with people, but in the end spent most of our time just by ourselves, and I must say I enjoyed all the one-on-one time with just him!

After we walked home the 2 miles from the game - Cash did great - we switched clothes and then Grammy and I did a quick trip to the mall for some baby gifts - altho then we didn't find any we went to BR and instead found a pair of leather pants I was looking for back in CALI (and they even had them in a long just as I needed from someone returning them - my lucky day) and a pair of pants for Grammy - then we hurried back and picked up Papa and Cash and Ty and went to dinner at Kneaders - so much fun.

Next we came back home and got ready to go to the movie Full Circle at BYU that was being shown to a group and will be later broadcast on BYU TV after conference.  Kimmy is a star in the movie and it was AMAZING!!! A very good show and I can't wait to watch again - funny, touching, interesting, and just all around super cool!  Brought back memories of China and living there for Cash and me.  We met up with Kim and Houston there and had a blast - Cash loved seeing Hooty.

We got home after 11 pm and went off to bed as we were all exhausted - and then had to be up in time to get off to the Ogden Temple Dedication the next morning.  Since Cash couldn't go Kimmy came and stayed with him even tho she wasn't feeling well while we all went.  It was great.

After we got home from the temple dedication we went out to see Great Grandma Rosen in her new home in AF.  When we got there they said she was in her bed but she actually was missing.  She had went into another patient's room and got in their bed and then up and into their rocking chair and fallen asleep there.  We got her up enough to move her to her bed but she was so sleepy and so we didn't get much out of her or talk too much and stay very long.  She was tired.  Love her so much - when we tried to take this picture she got mad at me and told me to not lean on her legs too much cuz I was hurting them - I wasn't even putting any pressure at all on them as I was standing up so it was pretty funny!

After we came back we had to take a nap because we were so tired from the night before.  Cash didn't want to at first but once he laid down he was out for a couple hours - had to take a pic since he hasn't napped in years!  Love this guy!

We woke up and had just enough time to help Grammy get dinner ready and play a few games with Sammy and then we had Brittney and her sister and roommate over for a birthday dinner for her.  We video chatted Alex in for the presents and it was a lot of fun!  Happy bday to this cute girl!  So glad she fits so well into our family and we always have fun with her!

After that Cash and I went to see our friends the Roneys and meet their new little baby brother.  It was so fun and wish I would have taken a picture with them but somehow never got one.  Glad to have such good friends and be able to see them when we come in town!

Then it was back home and a walk over to see more friends and say bye to Joey, and then back home just in time to help Uncle Sam make a bonfire in the backyard and enjoy some roasted marshmellows! Yummy! (cash didn't love his cuz thought it was too brown!)

Today we headed out at 5:15 AM to get back home so Cash could make it in time for school!!!
It was a short trip, but a great one!

Thanks to Chip for staying home with the kiddos (Griffin was SOOOO sad he didn't get to go) and also got sick on Saturday so Chip was great - also Chip loves BYU football so letting me go was a huge treat and gift from him.
Great weekend!
