Labor Day Week!!!!

For us Labor Day really was instead Labor week with all the fun festivities we had going on for the past week.  It started back last Thursday when we were really excited for the first BYU game!!!

Ivy and Griff hung out all day!

While Cash and I made BYU cookies to eat during the game!  They turned out super cute and were SO DELICIOUS!!!  Yum! Yum!

The number 78 jersey was to honor my sister's bf who is on the team and #78!!!  Cash was really excited to cheer on Houston and to sing the fight song throughout the game with every score - and what a great game it was!

We even got in our BYU shirts to show our support!  Gotta love game days at our house -and Chip is way excited Cash loves football and wants to watch all the games!

Cash had Owen over for a playdate and Griffin had a great time riding the scooter - so funny!

Ivy was happily playing, and then in a split second that lip popped out!  She coos and is just so funny to play with!

Then on Friday Ivy and I had a little date and went down to Irvine to cheer on Kimmy at Embassy Ball!  It was so much fun! We loved it!  Here Ivy is all dressed and ready to go into the ballroom!

Mommy and Ivy all glammed up!

I LOVED getting to catch up with my sister in the hotel room while she got ready and hearing about all the exciting things going on in her life!  Love you Muchi!  And she did fabulou! Always fun watching her dance and especially because I hadn't seen her with her new partner!

Kimmy and Brandon took 1st in Amateur Smooth in all dances!  She comes alive in Smooth and is so gorgeous!  Thanks Ivy Jane for sleeping through this part and letting me enjoy the wonderful dancing!

Saturday was spent hanging with dad and going to the beach and shopping and just enjoying!  Griffin likes wearing this helmet daddy got him to ride his trike in!

Sunday was a great day at church!  Here is cute little Ivy all dressed up in her outfit from aunt Hollie!  She looked darling - and when we got to church saw that her and mom were matching in the same colors (didn't get a picture of this however)!  Also, Ivy and Lucy (another little baby born a day after her, were wearing the same dress, altho Lucy had yellow shoes and a yellow bow with hers....we wanted to get a picture but never did!  So cute!

Ivy loved pulling her dress up to play peek-a-boo!  Or rather to just cover her eyes!

i LOVE these shoes and her cute little chubby legs!

She also likes to try to crawl!

And we pretty much just love everything about her!

 pretty girl!

Ready for a nap after all the pics!

Then Monday we got up and headed down to San Diego to the Lodge at Torrey Pines - a wonderful retreat for a few days.  It is gorgeous there, with a great pool, where we spent all Monday afternoon - and since school started yesterday for all of San Diego it was empty and we had the whole place to ourselves!

Ivy and I enjoyed sitting in our cabana at first while the boys swam!

Cash turned into a fish in his little life jacket and Griffin enjoyed hanging out on the boogie board before he discovered how fun jumping into the water is!

Mom and Ivy in the cabana!

Ivy even dipped in the pool for a few minutes and loved it!

Love her chub!

We went to dinner at Pei Wei and on the way home to go on a hike we missed the exit due to Chip looking at the beautiful San Diego Temple - so we decided to drive by and walk around.  It is gorgeous!

"I want to be a missionary now"...these 2 cute boys will be great ones some day!!!

The guy who took our picture kept referring to the temple as a "church" so obviously not LDS - but nice of him to get a family shot for us!

The boys!!!  Cash was a little sad because he actually just wanted to take the pictures here!

So the next shots are all thru the lense of Cash, the budding photographer!!!

Not to bad eh?!!!
I took the one below of the temple!

Tuesday we had a blast at the San Diego Zoo - where we walked a TON!  And it was really hot but a lot of fun!!!

The boys as we first entered and were walking to see the monkeys!  Griffin's favorite!

My favorite - the hippos - this is a daddy and his baby playing - so cool!

 The giraffes!

Stopping for a brief rest at the little play area!

The elephants and the bones of the elephants - I also loved watching this, and we just missed seeing an elephant get a pedicure!

Griff saying hi to the dolly llama!  And Cash and daddy at his favorite - the LIONS - altho he was a little scared they were going to wake up and eat him! (yes thru the glass of course!)

The sky ride was one of the boy's favorite things -and Chip was nice enough to push the double stroller with Ivy Jane back to the entrance while we rode this twice there and back (4 times) since they don't allow double strollers on it!  The boys were so happy, and it was a great nice break from hiking the hills!

Griffin checking out the gorillas from above - way cool!

We were so excited back at the Lodge when we saw they had set up croquet - and planned on playing after our dinner!

Too bad when we came back it was put away!  A good view of the place tho!

When we got back we were hot and ready to dip in the pool again and play - the boys didn't want to leave so we spent quite a few hours here again! We really were the only ones there so it was great!

Canonball - and other underwater dives!

We ate at The Grill for dinner and it overlooks this AMAZING golf course!  I wanted Chip to get to play so we will have to come back with another couple sometime so he can have the chance!  (Or he can teach me)

The food was SO YUMMY at dinner we came back and ate breakfast today there again before heading home!  Every single thing was DELICIOUS!!!  And the weather - PERFECT!

The boys loved it too and we all decided it was a great vacation - where should we go next?!!!

Wish it didn't have to end, but now we are home, and back to reality!  Laundry is calling, but I am sitting here thinking about our next trip in a few weeks!!!
Happy Labor Day!!!
