Before bed the last few nights the kids always want to sing the song "It's always fun when Grandpa Comes!" I change the words all the time to say different things he does and surprisingly I can sing an awful lot of verses because I have so many different things to say! They LOVE their Grandpa and today we get to celebrate his life - all 57 years of it!!! We had a great time in Utah and got to spend a lot of time with Grandpa, introducing Ivy Jane to him - and no one holds her and bounces her and plays better with her at nighttime then her grandpa! He adores her and it was fun to watch him talk to her so sweetly! We especially liked hearing him say "hi sweetie, oh sweetie..."over and over! The boys enjoyed walks and spinning in the yard with him!
I love my dad and am so grateful for his example in my life! He is so patient and kind and loving! He truly cares about others and is always serving them! He gives great advice, has a great laugh and is fun to be around and we wish we were there today making him a yummy birthday cake!
